Mini Mildred the Goat & Her Pug
The pug has a new best friend--MILDRED the goat kid! This is just a tiny taste of the sweetness that we are seeing every day. Hearing goat hooves on your kitchen floor might just be the cutest, silliest thing ever. Mildred was one of 5 kids born to our goat Rosemary. That first night we tube fed her, gave her a shot of Bose and brought her inside when she showed no movement or ability to nurse. She was 99 degrees, way too cold, so we blow dried her until she warmed up....still no improvement. That night I bundled her up next to my bed just so she wouldn't die alone...but when I woke up and picked her up she cried and was alive! She couldn't nurse or bottle feed for the first three days, but we kept at regular tube feeding, gave her the old school remedy of a bit of coffee and molasses, a Vitamin B shot and some Moloxicam just in case she had any brain swelling from a tough birth. She got stronger and made friends with our pug Rex who she cuddled with all day inside. Pug is an old man so I think he has enjoyed

RABBIT ISLAND! A Bunny Lover's Paradise
There's an island in Japan that is covered in cute fluffy bunny rabbits and solemn military ruins. It's Okunoshima - aka - Rabbit Island. Prior to World War II, chemical weapons were secretly manufactured on the island. During the Allied occupation, the weapons were destroyed and the buildings and military emplacements were left to ruin. Nowadays, the island is overrun with cute friendly rabbits. Initially people speculated that the rabbits were descendants of test subjects. But the current theory is that a group of students left pet rabbits behind on the island in 1971. Rabbit Island is reached by a ferry that leaves from Tadanoumi Port. Tadanoumi train station is about an hour's drive from Hiroshima Station. There is one hotel on the island.
